The Global Offshore Bid Management & Operations Logistics team, part of Vestas' Customer Project Execution (CPX) organization, supports global and regional CPX and service teams with offshore bid management and logistics expertise (vessels, aviation, ports) throughout project phases. We also define, implement, and update global processes and governance.
The Offshore Logistics Specialist will evaluate and propose optimal offshore logistics solutions from sales to implementation/service phases. This role will serve as the global expert for SOVs and CTVs, assisting regions (especially APAC and the US) and developing governance and processes in collaboration with regional peers.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and propose optimal offshore logistics solutions using tools like Shoreline, considering asset mix, port options, service agreement changes, project synergies, and operational restrictions.
- Develop and maintain global Vestas standards and minimum requirements for SOVs and CTVs in collaboration with regional stakeholders.
- Provide advice and support to regions regarding SOV/CTV logistics.
- Monitor market developments, supply/demand balance, and day rates, providing costing updates as needed.
- Collaborate with VAP SMEs to stay updated on new technologies that enhance safety, efficiency, and sustainability.
- Support the tender process and evaluate bid submissions from asset owners.
- Ensure all logistics solutions align with global and regional standards and lessons learned.
Qualifications
- Operational background in offshore roles (e.g., service technician, vessel officer) with an understanding of logistics aspects.
- Experience with SOVs or with CTVs, aiming for high standards.
- Broad understanding of assets supporting offshore wind farms (e.g., helicopters, drones).
- Willingness to become proficient with software like Shoreline within 6-12 months.
- Understanding commercial and contractual implications of offshore logistics is crucial.
- Experience with Bimco contract formats is beneficial.
- Experience with large-scale offshore projects and global corporations.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
