The custodial and grounds team play an integral role in protecting the health of building occupants as well as the animals in our care. They help prevent the spread of illness and infection and ensure a safe and clean environment. Our custodial team must have a positive, professional, and upbeat personality with a desire to maintain high cleanliness standards. The custodian position is one where responsibilities and duties can change day-to-day, while also needing to complete regular assignments, so multi-tasking and adapting to change are critical. Ideal candidates would arrive on time for scheduled shifts, happily greet and attend to customers, maintain restrooms, promote proper trash disposal and recycling habits, assist with event set up, patrol outdoor walkways and parking lots for trash, sweeping and shoveling boardwalks, and support other departments if necessary.
