JOB SUMMARY: This Interdisciplinary, GS-0150/0401/1301/1370-9 position is located in the National Park Service - Northeast Region in the Lands Resources Division. MAJOR DUTIES: Develops, manages, coordinates, maintains, and implements geospatial and other database management systems in accordance with Land Resources Division and national data standards. Prepares, creates, and maintains a wide variety of professional mapping and cartographic products, primarily using ArcGIS and AutoCAD, in support of land acquisition and realty management projects. Coordinates, develops, and maintains professional relationships with realty, cartographic, survey, attorney, park staff, private organizations and public agencies to facilitate data procurement and cooperation on a variety of GIS, information management, and lands resources related projects. Converts land record information from static/analog sources to digital GIS format, including engineering or boundary survey maps and plats, tax assessor maps, aerial photographs, mosaics, and other records. Assists with developing and testing enterprise GIS data solutions, applications and standards. Duties will be developmental in nature when filled below the full performance level.
