JOB SUMMARY: Pacific West Region is recruiting for summer seasonals at multiple parks for Facility Services Assistant, 1603-06/07 positions. The typical seasonal entry-on-duty period for Death Valley National Park is Mid May- Mid November but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. MAJOR DUTIES: Major Duties: Use multiple databases (budget, maintenance work orders, and requests, asset management, purchase logs) to provide management information. Serve as a Point of Contact for Facility Management and Utilities Management. Provide required documentation to human resources for Facility employees; provide facility employees with required information related to human resources. Serve as a point of contact for purchasing of supplies, services and specialized items. Physical Demands: The work is primarily sedentary. Occasional visits to job sites or travel to conferences may be required. Some walking, hiking, climbing or crawling may be required to perform asset inspections. Working Conditions: The work is primarily performed in an office environment. Travel to various site locations within the park to perform asset inspections may be required.
