We’re looking for a Graduate Environmental Human Health / Ecological Risk Assessor to join our team! As a graduate level position, this is a great opportunity providing you the chance to make a positive impact on the communities in which we live.
At GHD, our Risk Assessors are typically engaged in projects that apply risk assessment and risk management strategies to support contaminated site decision-making under Federal, state, and international site cleanup programs. This includes supporting and implementing site characterization and remedial action projects that involve efforts to identify and control potentially unacceptable human and ecological exposures to chemicals in the environment.

Working with an energetic and hard-working team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Evaluate large environmental datasets for a wide variety of common, as well as emerging (e.g., PFAS), or proprietary chemicals
- Interpret site characterization data
- Perform statistical and spatial data analysis
- Perform contaminant fate/transport and exposure modeling
- Quantitatively evaluating human health and/or ecological risks
- Assist with the preparation of reports and other written communications
- Perform environmental sampling
- Support emergency response activities
- Assist in engagements with technical and trade organizations
What you will bring to the team:
- Master’s degree in related field of Science, e.g., Biology, Toxicology, Ecotoxicology, Environmental Science, Ecology, Chemistry, Environmental Engineering (Bachelor’s will be considered with work experience)
- Up to 3 years of experience in the environmental consulting field
- Knowledge or experience in ecological or human health risk assessment, environmental fate and transport modeling, statistical data analysis and sampling design, emerging contaminants (e.g., PFAS), natural resource damages assessment is a plus, but not required
- Familiarity with spreadsheet and database software
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills required
- Willingness to travel throughout North America

Salary range: $66,853-$90,448 Based on experience.
