Role: Sustainability Reporting Specialist
Aviva Ireland have an exciting new opportunity for a Sustainability Reporting Specialist to join our team in Cherrywood! This is an exciting opportunity for someone with an interest in sustainability and non-financial reporting to join a team within the Communications, Sponsorship and Sustainability area of Aviva.
The Ireland Sustainability team supports the development and implementation of sustainability and non-financial reporting for Aviva in Ireland. The successful candidate source, record and report on agreed data, metrics and policies for non-financial internal and external reporting for Aviva Ireland. This includes regular Aviva Sustainability Ambition (ASA) Business Planning reporting and reporting on data, metrics and policies that comply with the requirements of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) disclosures.
This role is based in our Dublin office and adheres to Aviva's hybrid working policy.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for assessing and reporting on risks related to sustainability reporting errors or failures and anti-greenwashing risk controls.
- Support the Ireland CFO’s and their teams in producing an assured annual non-financial report approved through agreed Ireland and group governance.
- Source, record and report on agreed data metrics and policies for non-financial internal and external reporting for Aviva Ireland and work on the team to resolve metric and data issues.
- Updating metrics, processes and assisting the closure or resolution of data gaps.
- The role will be an important part of the end-to-end processes and controls in Ireland finance, sustainability and NFR that will support the preparation of sustainability and financial disclosures in a controlled auditable environment.
- Support Sustainability and Communication leads in reviewing sustainability content for both internal and external use.
Skills & Experience required
- Experience in reporting processes and governance.
- Relevant related degree advantageous.
- Knowledge and active interest in Aviva’s sustainability strategy and reporting in the area of ESG/CSRD.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage high volumes and multiple deadlines.
- Understanding and experience of climate reporting, including data modelling and scenario analysis (preferred but not essential).
