Position Summary:
The Controls Engineer will lead the implementation of BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) capableofultra-fastresponsetodispatchcommandsandgridsupplyvariations.Thiscandidate should be familiar with power systems, utility generation, protection, and transmission systems, as well as modern industrial networks and utility communication protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- DraftingandnegotiatingtechnicalcontractexhibitsforfastresponseBESSplantcontrollers.
- Managingstakeholders,utilities,andsupplierstodesignanddeliverfastresponsecontrollers.
- VerifyingtestingandcommissioningofadvancedBESSplantcontrollers.
- Mentoringteammembersandsupervisingworkprocessestoensurehigh-qualitydeliverables are developed within timeline and budget commitments.
- Developing new tools, implementing processes, providing feedback, and working with other stakeholderstoensurecontinuousimprovementofthetechnology/engineering/deliveryvalue stream.
RelatedExperience:
TheidealcandidatewillhavedomainexperienceinsolarPVorbatteryenergystorage.TheDigital-Twin Software Engineer must be proficient in the following:
- Experiencewithpowergrids,powergeneration,and/orrenewableintegrationcontrol.
- Experiencewithutilitymarketapplications.
- ExperiencewithDigSilentPowerFactory,EMTP,orotherpowersystemsmodelingtools.
- Expertiseinmodel-basedcontrolsoftwaredevelopment.
- ExpertiseinGitworkflow.
