Essential skills and experience:
- BS in Engineering from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
- Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary teams.
- 15+ years of experience in the design and analysis of nuclear facilities.
- 10+ years of experience in project management/project coordination.
- Experience in managing medium to large engineering projects.
- Extensive knowledge and applied experience in all aspects of project engineering design.
- Experience with serving as firm/client liaison in a support or lead engineering role.
- Experience in reviewing design drawings created by others.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to develop and motivate staff.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in providing guidance, mentoring, and training to staff engineers.
Valued but not required skills and experience:
- PE or SE license.
- PMP certificate.
- Construction and start-up experience.
- Commissioning experience.
- Experience in managing the development of a new engineering team(s).
- Experience in forecasting staffing needs, conducting staff performance evaluations, and assisting staff in curation of goals.
- Project schedule and budget development and management.
