Job Title: Energy Procurement Specialist

Job Description:
This role supports the Energy & Utilities Procurement category, partnering with organizational leaders to manage sourcing strategies, ensure compliance, and drive cost efficiencies. The contractor will report to the Director of Energy & Utilities and Renewable Energy Procurement & Sourcing Lead and will assist in achieving procurement objectives aligned with business goals.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in Global Supplier Strategy Council discussions to shape sourcing strategies and develop alternative solutions in collaboration with global teams.
- Manage the energy and renewable energy category, ensuring compliance with procurement processes and alignment with sourcing strategies.
- Lead project execution for sourcing activities, including RFIs, RFPs, e-sourcing, supplier onboarding, due diligence, negotiation, and contracting.
- Conduct project progress meetings with stakeholders and external partners.
- Engage proactively with business partners and stakeholders to align procurement strategies with their short- and long-term goals.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiencies and ensure compliance.
- Monitor and manage supplier performance against business requirements.
- Stay updated on market knowledge and conduct data analysis to drive category strategy and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with centralized teams to ensure adherence to procurement processes.
- Achieve cost control, reduction, and containment targets for Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
- Work with the Data Analytics team to extract and analyze data, create dashboards, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Manage utility contracts to ensure timely signing and storage, guaranteeing the assurance of supply for sites.
- Support project management activities, tracking actions and managing project plans.

Required Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or equivalent with at least 5 years of regional procurement experience.
- Intermediate proficiency in Energy & Utilities procurement, including category strategy development, strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and project management.
- Familiarity with global energy markets.
- Advanced proficiency in Ariba, including sourcing, contracting, and vendor master data management.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong follow-up, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in project and stakeholder management, with an ability to influence without authority.
- Analytical skills for sourcing strategy development and negotiations.
- Ability to navigate dynamic environments with conflicting priorities.
