JOB SUMMARY: This position is in Region 6, Water Division, Assistance Programs Branch. MAJOR DUTIES: You will: Perform liaison work with individuals in a variety of organizations on legislative proposals, regulations, policies, program issues, and resources and provide programmatic oversight and coordination of grant funding for local/state/tribal programs. Perform program administration work, such as contract and grant management, and environmental liaison work, in order to accomplish the assigned environmental management and protection duties. Serve as a programmatic and technical expert on water quality and/or restoration programs and projects. Perform work related to the conduct of studies of diverse environmental issues and the tracking and monitoring of results and formulate and direct the development and implementation of long-range analytical and managerial studies which guide difficult policy and managerial decisions.
