JOB SUMMARY: These positions are located in Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument, in the Resource Management Division. The typical seasonal period for these positions is May - November, but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Anticipated Entry on Duty: May 2025 Open to the first 150 applicants or until 01/21/2025 whichever comes first. MAJOR DUTIES: Implement established natural resource management projects using appropriate resource management equipment. Follow instructions and standardized procedures to collect and organize field data. Make field observations of natural resource conditions. Ensure adequate quality control of data collected. Evaluate observed conditions and problems and makes preliminary determinations. Assist in the preparation of reports which may include literature research, descriptions of methods, preparation of graphs and charts, and summary of findings.
