JOB SUMMARY: This position is located within the Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Plains Area (PA), at the Integrated Cropping Systems Research Unit in Brookings, South Dakota. In this position, you will focus on developing cropping systems that improve the efficiency, resilience, and profitability of agricultural production in the Northern Plains and beyond. MAJOR DUTIES: Evaluate current and emerging oat germplasm to aid the discovery and improve the expression of traits that contribute to the development of improved populations with economically acceptable nutritional or other market traits.
