JOB SUMMARY: This position is located in the United States Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Sugarcane Research Unit, in Houma, LA. In this position, you will be responsible for planting, rating, and harvesting "outfield" sugarcane experiments, measuring experimental and commercial sugarcane genotypes for quality traits including juice quality, plant defense responses to biotic and abiotic stresses, and yield stability.
