Weeki Wachee Springs State Park is looking for a self-motivated park service professional to fill an OPS Receptionist position. Rotating schedule to include nights, holidays, weekends, special events as required.

Your Specific Responsibilities:
This is a position working up to 27 hours per week.
The selected candidate will be required to work nights, weekends and holidays.
The employee's primary function is to provide excellent customer service as the first point of contact on entering the Florida State Park.
Responsible for greeting visitors at the park entrance and providing information pertaining to the park and surrounding areas. Inform visitors of the park's features as well as any current and upcoming park activities and events. Collects fees for park entrance and annual permits. Operate a Point of Sale computer system; accurately collect, report and reconcile revenues received. Attend the admissions gate to collect entry tickets and assist in parking lot traffic management, which may require standing for extended periods of time.
Performs other related duties as required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions; communicate effectively verbally and in writing; establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; accurately prepare reports; collect fees; operate point of sale cash register and credit card terminals; deal with visitor inquiries in a tactful, efficient and courteous manner, both in person and on the phone; understand and apply rules, directives, policies, laws and regulations; Ability to work rotating schedule including nights, weekends and holidays. Skill in using two-way radio communication system. Knowledge and ability to maintain facilities and equipment. Knowledge of arithmetic and good public relations.
Work weekends, holidays, evenings as required.

This position is designated as a Position of Special Trust in accordance with DEP-422 (Positions of Special Trust or Responsibility). Any applicant being considered for employment must successfully complete a Level 2 State and National criminal history check as a condition of employment before beginning employment, and also be screened in accordance with the requirements of Chapter 435, F.S.
