For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $96,000-$144,00 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.
The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Schneider Electric Consulting Services produces power system studies, performs assessments, and creates designs packages for electrical distribution systems. The system studies specialty focuses on the modeling and analysis of power systems to evaluate code & standard compliance, optimize protective device responses to faults, and to provide required information for worker protection.
Consulting Services is seeking an experienced Power System Engineer to improve studies orders by driving customer satisfaction & quality on studies delivery and developing relationships with sales and channel teams, and customers, in aligned territories. This role is pivotal in fostering growth through strong relationships, collaboration, and adaptability to changing business conditions and customer preferences.
Studies Lead Engineer Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the “Face of Consulting” for studies in aligned territory – local presence and visual accountability ensuring a satisfying customer experience for delivery of Consulting Services studies (fault, coordination, arc flash, load flow).
- Develop and nurture relationships with Sales Teams, Channel Partners, and key customers to influence growth and collaboration:
- Gather feedback on ETO project studies end-to end (quote through labeling & startup)
- Share this feedback with study delivery teams – Project Coordination, back-office study engineers, leadership team – to collaborate on delivery improvement.
- Support pre-bid studies activities – fault calculations/evaluations, selective coordination OCPD selections, etc. – to help Sales Team win and de-risk equipment orders.
- Accountable for studies delivery in aligned territory acting as a point of contact – with a strong technical understanding of power system studies and the Consulting Service study process, act as point of contact participating in customer calls and meetings, performing some studies personally, and visiting sites as needed.
- Understand local adoption and enforcements of codes and standards and adapt & influence study execution to balance with System Studies procedures.
Key Outcomes:
- Achieve targets for sales and orders growth, customer satisfaction, and study attach rates for the aligned territory through timely delivery and high-quality results.
- Drive orders growth and attach rates by influencing and collaborating with Sales, Channel Partners, Consulting BDMs, and key customers.
- Ensure a safe working environment with a target of 0.0 MIR for field workers.
- Technical Expertise: Understanding power system studies – fault, coordination, arc flash, and load flow. 3+ years relevant experience with Professional Engineering licensure preferred.
- Communication Skills: Strong customer-facing presence and ability to discuss technical issues with audiences of varying technical abilities.
- Collaboration: Understanding power system study processes and the stakeholders involved, to work with Sales, Channel, Studies Project Coordinators & engineers to improve study delivery.
