JOB SUMMARY: This position is part of the R4-Wheeler National Wildlife Refuge. As a Student Trainee (Biological Sciences) you will be responsible for providing biological assistance and support. This is a temporary position Not-To-Exceed 1 year. MAJOR DUTIES: Only experience and education obtained by 01/16/2025 will be considered. As a Student Trainee (Biological Sciences) your duties may include, but are not limited to, the following: Works with other techs and senior Biologists to conduct fish and wildlife and/or plant surveys and monitoring. Assists with performing or reviewing biological studies for determining the manner and extent to which fish, wildlife and plant populations may be affected by development or contamination and conservation activities. Assists in the review of projects submitted for ESA section 7 consultation. Assists with invasive species removal projects, recording and submitting accomplishment data on the process of technical assistance and habitat restoration activities.
