Position Summary
Plug Power Inc. is actively seeking a highly motivated Intern. The Intern will be responsible for assisting Plug Process Solutions in a wide variety of initiatives and projects in support of the department. In this role, you will gain exposure to a fast-paced manufacturing and engineering environment which includes developing a detailed understanding of Plug Power’s products. The role will focus on the successful completion of technical projects, process improvement, documentation, and presentation of results at the end of the program.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
The intern will have a chance to delve into project management practices and work with the team delivering Hydrogen Liquification Projects.
The intern will add to the team by working on capturing current project workflow and finding the process improvements and potential collaboration opportunities within the teams. They will record their findings in Visio application.
They will also be responsible for generating reports on KPIs and creating dashboards to be shared with senior management for decision making. They will also generate reports and work on developing new tools for better project tracking.
- Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of all Plug Power products
- Work with Project Managers and Project Controls team to gather, interpret and analyze data
- Assist with cost control activities by generating reports and dashboards.
- Assist with scheduling as required, work with master scheduler.
- Perform Earned Value Analysis of the project and report KPIs.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Education and Qualification
- Pursuing a Bachelor or master's degree Business, Accounting, Software Engineering, Engineering, Supply Chain
- Prior Internship or Co-op experience preferred
- Strong interest in Project Management
Required technical skills:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs
- Math/critical thinking
- Microsoft Excel
- Power BI or similar application experience preferred
- Ability to work with large sets of data
- Basic understanding of project management
