This position is located in the Pacific Northwest Region, Region 6 on the MT. Baker Snoqualmie National Forest.
The incumbent serves as a Recreation Technician on a Forest Service unit performing work in support of the unit's recreation program, with responsibility for operating and maintaining the district's recreation complex.

Overview
Duties
- Provides necessary information pertaining to mineral activity on the district for forest database, inventory, and GIS management.
- Collects and properly documents field data. Performs water quality monitoring and sampling to standard as directed by the Forest Geologist.
- Performs field inspections to ensure ground activities are in compliance with approved plan of operations.
- Makes periodic inspections or applicable construction projects to determine if changes are needed or other action is necessary.
- Prepares annual work plans in support of Special Uses Program.
- Is immediately involved in the decision making and planning process and provides direction to the program.
- Corrects deficiencies when found and keeps District Resource Officer informed.
- Is responsible for internal coordination and review of permits and other lands and recreation proposals.

- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
- Males born after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt.
- Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
- Successful completion of one year probationary period, unless previously served.
- Per Public Law 104-134 all Federal employees are required to have federal payments made by direct deposit to their financial institution.
- Successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.

Additional information
This position may be eligible to telework up to four days per week, based upon the duties of the position. This position may also be eligible for flexible work arrangements as determined by agency policy and any applicable collective bargaining agreements.
