This position is located in the Southwestern Region, Region 3, Coconino National Forest, Flagstaff Arizona.
The position serves as the Forest program manager for survey, boundary management, and lands. Performs supervisory duties 20% or less of the time.

- Evaluate potential impact of proposed land use on management, protection, development, and utilization of natural resources, and conformance with plans, policies, regulations, and statutory authorities.
- Make recommendations to the authorizing officer on the granting of authorizations for the use and occupancy of agency lands.
- Administer all aspects of the special use programs such as permits, easements, linear rights-of-way, private in-holdings, or communications sites.
- Provide program leadership in the planning, direction, and coordination of land adjustment such as disposal, purchase, exchange, donation, partial interest, condemnation, real estate title preparation, and cost-share agreements.
- Provide assistance to unit leaders in the development of plans and budget for administering land uses and/or minerals programs.
- Provide advice to line officers in preparation of permits within their delegated authority.
- Coordinate or participate on interdisciplinary teams to develop or review environmental assessment reports and environmental statements.
- Serve as primary unit contact for unit and agency personnel and applicants on matters concerning land use permits and memorandums of understanding that have unit wide application.
- Apprise agency staff, permit holders, applicants, and concerned publics of policy changes, fee adjustments agency regulations, restrictions, and resource management issues.
- Perform unit level review of special use applications and requests for land uses authorized by memorandums of understanding.
- Provide program specific technical advice to interdisciplinary teams to fulfill National Environmental Protection Act requirements for special use and/or mineral leasing applications.

This position may be eligible to telework up to four days per week, based upon the duties of the position. This position may also be eligible for flexible work arrangements as determined by agency policy and any applicable collective bargaining agreements.
