Position Summary

Acuren Wind CA is expanding its operations and is actively seeking a Wind Blade Repair Manager to join and support their team in Goderich, ON.

The Wind Blade Repair Manager is responsible for directing all aspects of wind turbine blade repair and maintenance projects. This role involves overseeing field technicians, managing projects including scheduling, coordinating work with clients, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining quality standard. This position will be based in the Goderich, ON office and will report to the General Manager.

Responsibilities

Manage the planning, coordination, and execution of wind turbine maintenance and repair projects (including blade repair)
Responsible for project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful completion.
Collaborate with Acuren Wind Canada team and clients to determine repair needs and provide updates throughout the project.
Manage and support field technician, fostering a culture of safety and excellence.
Work with the Engineering team to Oversee complex blade repair tasks, including composite repairs, leading-edge protection, and structural reinforcement.
Troubleshoot technical issues and provide guidance to field technicians.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in wind blade repair or a related field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Experience in composite materials and wind turbine maintenance.
GWO (Global Wind Organisation) training is required or must be obtained upon hire.
Competent with reading technical drawings and repair manuals.
Proficiency in MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook with strong working knowledge of various accounting systems.
Strong attention to detail
Ability to effectively build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills. Superior English competency is required; French competency is considered an asset.
