Our reputable Industrial Battery Industry client is seeking a skilled Retail Branch Manager to join their team in Nelspruit.
Purpose of the role:
To run the branch successfully. Responsible for ensuring their staff give great customer service as well as monitoring the financial performance and stock accuracy of the branch.
Salary: R25 000 – R28 000pm (depending on experience) + benefits.
Requirements:
- Very sales orientated and driver person. Numbers on the board matter.
- Matric
- Essential customer service and communication skills
- Product and application knowledge, including ability to read Catalogues
- Valid driver’s license
- Computer literate: MS Office
- Well-spoken and presented (fluent in English)
- Good communicator
- Excellent sales skills with proven track record

Responsibilities:
1. Achievement of branch targets
- Branch Sales in Rands – monitoring of sales targets issued to sales staff.
- Sales per unit – constant communication with sales staff regarding progress towards sales targets is encouraged.
- Stock identified to be priority sales items must be communicated with internal sales staff daily/weekly.
- Managing the co-ordination of daily sales
- Checking the accuracy of all quotations on a daily basis.
2. Successful management of overall branch functioning
- Manage in-house sales staff and provide them the support to perform their duties with success.
- Ensuring good communication with all relevant departments.
- Conducting strategy meetings and sales planning with relevant staff.
- Host weekly meetings with sales staff to discuss sales turnover, margins, stock issues, forecasts, debtors, and general issues.
- Personnel Management – Managing of staff with regards to performance, discipline, training, attendance, concerns and complaints
- Advise and communicate with Procurement/Directors on any stock shortages
- Place stock orders by given deadlines each week
- Ensure stock is maintained at accurate levels and that
- stocktakes are successful with zero stock losses
- Communicate with Dispatch in coordinating urgent deliveries
- Communicate with warehouse with regards to stock queries
- Ensuring that the correct battery is supplied into specified application
- Handling of all exports together with the relevant paperwork and export documentation.
- Ensure on-going communication with all entities.
- Maintain conversant with all existing and potential products that are made available from Enertec’s suppliers.
- Following general operational procedures and health and safety rules and standards
3. Customer Satisfaction
- Greeting customers on entering shop
- Assisting customers to find the correct goods/ products
- Giving advice and guidance on product selection
- Quoting on a variety of products
- Dealing with customer refunds
- Problems resolved – Customers are to be treated with respect when dealing with any problems.
- Responsible for dealing with any major problems brought to your attention and communicating with Management if further intervention is required.
- Responsible for demonstrating the use and operation of the products
- Providing information about warranties, manufacturing specifications, care, and maintenance of merchandise and delivery options
- Ensure that all warranty paperwork gets filled out, sent to Head Office and filed. All warranty batteries must be accounted for.
- Must process scrap/warranty invoice every month and ensure that the GP% is always positive. If negative, investigation must take place.
