What is the job about?
Grundfos Industry is seeking a Sustainability Intern to join its team working on sustainability, water, and energy efficiency.
In this role, your primary focus will be to support furthering Grundfos Industry’s thought leadership in the sustainability space, and increasing our database of incentive programs supporting sustainability, both in the form of energy efficiency and water reuse.
Throughout the summer, your two focus projects will be based on those two areas. Additionally, you will have an integral role in helping to position and prepare Grundfos to successfully host its third annual Sustainability Summit.
Activities will include working with the e-products team, researching programs, designing dashboards and reports, and partnering with Marketing, Sales, and Product Management staff to share findings with the team.
This position dual reports to the Sales Development Director and the Senior Sustainability and Strategy Manager and will operate out of the Lenexa, KS, facility. Remote working will be supported.
Your main responsibilities:
- Research industrial tax incentives that apply to Grundfos Industrial products and update the excel database.
- Assess next steps with the industrial tax incentive database and how to further commercialize it through a Power BI dashboard and resources.
- Build out data on industrial water reuse programs and policies, and make recommendations on how Grundfos public affairs, partners and OEMs can position themselves within these programs.
- Build out a database of speaking application deadlines and requirements in sustainability-related trade shows across key verticals, including data centers and food & beverage.
- Support the development of sustainability thought leadership, including assisting with whitepapers, abstracts and presentations on water, energy, and sustainability.
- Support the third annual Grundfos Sustainability Summit through recruitment and communication with speakers and positioning/promotion of the Summit.
Your background
Qualified candidates will be working towards a degree in Engineering or Business discipline. Other skills that we are looking for include:
- Must be detailed oriented and possess excellent communication skills.
- Strong research and data presentation skills with PowerBI experience considered a plus.
- A strong work ethic is highly important.
- Should be able to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment taking personal responsibility for assignment.
- Person must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficient using electronic tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe, Teams).
