ResponsibilitiesEnvironmental Strategy and Planning
• Develop and implement the environmental strategy for the energy businesses, aligning it with corporate sustainability goals and industry best practices.
• Stay abreast of emerging environmental regulations, policies, and trends related to the energy sector, and integrate them into the company's strategy.
• Identify and evaluate opportunities for reducing environmental impact, such as renewable energy adoption, energy efficiency improvements, waste management, and emissions reduction initiatives. Environmental Compliance
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and central environmental regulations, permits, and reporting requirements for power generation, transmission and distribution businesses.
• Monitor and assess changes in environmental legislation and proactively implement necessary measures to maintain compliance.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies and participate in environmental audits, inspections, and assessments. Sustainability Initiatives
• Lead the development and implementation of sustainability initiatives.
• Identify and evaluate opportunities to enhance the ESG performance of existing infrastructure and processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability considerations into decision-making processes and project development.
• Disclosures of ESG performance on national and international frameworks.

• Coordination for Corporate Social Responsibility with CSR implementing agencies for Thermal and Transmission Businesses.
• Appraise the Board Level Corporate Responsibility Committees of Thermal, Transmission and Renewable Businesses.
• Appraise the Board Level Corporate Social Responsibility Committees of Thermal and Transmission Businesses. Risk Management
• Develop, maintain and update the Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
• Coordinate with Functional & Site Risk Committees and monitoring and updating of Enterprise Risk Register and Risk Plans for Thermal Business.
• Appraise the Board Level Risk Management Committee and the four Sub-Committees of Thermal Business. Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, environmental organizations, and community groups, to foster positive relationships and address environmental concerns.
• Communicate the company’s ESG initiatives, performance, and progress to stakeholders through reports, presentations, and public forums.
• Promote a culture of environmental awareness and responsibility among employees and contractors.
• Represent Thermal, Transmission and Renewable Businesses at National and International forums.
QualificationsGraduation / Post Graduation in Environment Science/ Management
