What the role will involve
The responsibilities of your role will include the following:
- Supporting and developing the business’s management systems.
- Supporting the Senior Quality, EHS and Facilities Manager to ensure conformance to ISO14001, ISO45001 and business requirements.
- Identifying CSUK QEHS training needs and develop/deliver training materials (i.e., toolbox talks).
- Liaising with business stakeholders regarding issues around Environment and Health and Safety.
- Working with the EHS and Facilities team to ensure compliance to EHS legislation.
- Reviewing and improving current working practices with regards to Health and Safety.
- Conducting and supporting risk assessments.
- Support environmental sustainability improvements in line with L3HUK targets.
- Performing internal audits across the Business Management System.
- Coordinating and reporting on continual improvement programmes within the business.
What you’ll bring
The role requires the following experience and skills:
Essential
- HND\Degree level qualification in a Science, Engineering, Business or Sustainability Discipline.
- Good analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills and the ability to conduct root cause analyses and devise suitable corrective action plans
- Experience using a wide range of root cause analysis tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrable interpersonal skills
Desirable
- Hold a recognised H&S qualification.
- Understanding of continuous improvement/lean principles and tools
- Internal audit trained in any of ISO9001, ISO14001 or ISO45001 management standards
- Able to demonstrate an understanding of UK Health and Safety and Environmental legislation
