HUMAN RIGHTS PROJECT MANAGER - SUSTAINABLE SOURCING
A day in the life
The Global Sustainability sourcing team is looking for an experienced lead to support and deploy the global Human Rights sourcing strategy fully aligned with the Human Rights L’Oréal frame and to be applied across all our procurement categories. This will include orchestrating relevant actions, developing critical partnerships and accelerate positive impact for communities involved in L’Oréal upstream value chain.
The Human Rights Project Manager reporting directly to the Sustainable Sourcing Director will undertake the main following strategic responsibilities, in line with the Group frame and roadmap:
- lead continuous strategic watch with external stakeholders (NGOs, industry coalitions, external experts, etc.), together with the Global Human Rights team
- support and deploy a global and scalable strategy for a transparent upstream chain of custody
- ensuring alignment with UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive and the public targets set across L’Oréal full value chain
- build priority roadmap, based on relevant criteria for each category, covering all our procurement categories, both direct and indirect
- coordinate governance to ensure effective improvements, road map delivery and reporting
- ensure that the overall Human Rights sustainable sourcing approach is streamlined and comprehensive to educate our internal and external ecosystem
- develop communication, training materials and pragmatic implementation tools for internal sourcing teams and suppliers
- manage implementation of relevant policies, ongoing Human Rights due diligence, grievance mechanisms, remediation.
- engage our suppliers and contribute to coalition building when necessary and in coordination with the global Human Rights Team.
The position is based in Paris with ad hoc travels across our zones.About the Team Our multicultural sustainable sourcing team is fully integrated within our global sourcing organization, partnering with all procurement domains, zones and divisions as well as Corporate Responsibility team and other Operations métiers.

- Extensive relevant experience in responsible sourcing, either in consulting or in-house roles in an international environment
- Solid understanding of supply chain traceability, sustainability topics and Human Rights standards, extensive experience with supplier relationship management.
- Robust experience working with international teams and leading complex projects and transformations.
- Exposure to the cosmetic / fast-moving consumer products industries is highly desirable
- Ability to speak both English and French is essential
