Position Title: Coordinator, Event Sales & Services

Position Summary:
The coordinator position is essential to the Event Sales & Services department by providing daily event detailing and communication, intern management and day-of event execution. Responsible for assisting with most of the day-of event facilitation, maintain and update crucial daily, weekly & monthly admin tasks, and is responsible for a large portion of our event intern program. Additionally, this position will be responsible for assisting in the activation of traffic-driving and ticket-selling aquarium events and promotions, both onsite and offsite, and will work with internal contacts to ensure collaborative coordination and measurable, positive results.
Responsibilities:
- Works directly with Events Management Team to assist in detailing of GAI Public Events and Wolfgang Puck Catering Sales
- Assist in the planning, execution, and coordination of Georgia Aquarium annual events calendar, focused on consumer audiences including idea generation and event
- Support the coordination of offsite Aquarium events including scheduling and communicating with volunteers, ensuring promotional materials are prepared for each event, evaluation, and tracking post-
- Regularly communicate and work with Guest Programs, Guest Services, Security, Volunteer Programs, as well as other internal and external stakeholders to ensure events are successfully
- Maintain and update crucial daily, weekly & monthly admin tasks important for successful and smooth event
- Responsible for multiple long-term tasks (i.e., updating the Standard Operating Procedures manual, working closely on our Event Volunteer Training course, ).
- Handle majority of Event Intern Review intern resumes with management, conduct initial phone interviews, and assist in in-person interviews for final candidates. Once interns have been selected, coordinator will serve as lead supervisor for all admin training and execution, event management and detailing, and ongoing Georgia Aquarium training.

Qualifications:
- Two or Four-year college degree, preferably in hospitality or event management
- Experience with onsite event coordination
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Excellent written and communication
- Must be able to maintain a clam demeanor under
- Exceptional problem-solving and organizational
- Dependable and possess superb time management
- Must be a self-starter who requires little to no supervision to meet company
