Fellowship Details
Internship Overview
Solar One seeks a skilled and motivated Intern to join our team of 53 employees. The successful candidate will work closely with Solar One’s Director of Workforce Training and, in cooperation with the program manager, assist with a variety of tasks, including data entry, research, maintenance, and providing support for workforce operations and classes.
The NYSERDA Fellowship Intern will also gain knowledge and experience in green energy. Solar One will help develop the skills necessary to advance the individual to employment (either at Solar One or another employer). Interns will be formally trained in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, water conservation, and heating & cooling systems during their time at Solar One.

Eligibility / Qualifications

Must reside in District 14 in The Bronx

High School Diploma with two years of work experience.

Strong collaboration and organizational skills.

Strong communication skills, including in-person, email, phone, and video conferencing etiquette.

Excellent creative problem-solving ability.

Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and GSuite.
