Technical Sales Advisor

As a Technical Sales Advisor, you will be responsible for selling geoscience and data related products and services to both new and existing clients, managing a portfolio of accounts.
You will collaborate with internal teams to meet customer requirements and provide technical advice and guidance.
Conducting market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and the competitive landscape is an important part of the role as well as staying updated on changes to the Cegal product portfolio.
Your contributions:
In this role you will:
- Drive sales engagement and delivering product and solution sales to new and existing customers.
- Develop a deep understanding of the geoscience products and services offered by the company and conduct technical presentations and demos for clients.
- Communicate client feedback to relevant parts of the organization and monitoring proof of concept initiatives and software product evaluations are also part of your responsibilities.
- Build and maintain a reliable pipeline for both existing and new customers, negotiate and construct proposals and quotations, and capture information within the CRM system.
- You will develop and implement strategies to generate new business, respond to customer requests for information, and provide technical responses.
- Document, report, and follow up on all sales activities, manage sales targets and reporting effectively, and participate in local and regional industry events and on social media.
- Provide excellent customer service and following up with customers to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling are key aspects of the role.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and opportunities in the CRM system.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including geoscientists, engineers, and technical support, to meet customer requirements.
Who you are?
To thrive in the role we believe you share our passion for technology and learning, and that you probably have:
- Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Minimum 3 years of relevant business development/ account management/ sales experience in Energy Sector
- Have a geoscience related degree
- Strong customer service skills and have customer satisfaction as your top priority
- Are fluent in English, both written and spoken, at a business-standard level
- Blueback software and Petrel knowledge would be an advantage
