JOB SUMMARY:
The role of the Reliability Center Coordinator is to improve work force productivity and work quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning and coordination of equipment shutdowns and lockouts in assigned areas. Knowing jobs and scope of work and a backlog within assigned areas. Making sure jobs ready on-time for maintenance and engineering. Maintain/Create LOTO sheets, attends weekly maintenance planning meeting, shutdown planning, investigation resource, maintenance point person and equipment availability leader.
JOB RESPONSIBILTIES:
- All electrical and mechanical planning and scheduling:
- This includes verifying that we have the spare parts that we need to make the repairs on the scheduled equipment.
- Verify that the equipment can be taken out of service with the departments through weekly meetings.
- Verify that we have the manpower to be able to complete the tasks in a timely manner.
- Look at the job in the field to verify what materials or parts are going to be needed to complete the task.
- Kit the jobs for time savings of the millwrights.
- With the experience the planner has, be a SME on drag conveyors, elevator leg, dryer internal and external repairs.
- Learn the new SAP system to be very fluent in it.
- Schedule any outside contractors that need to be brought in to complete tasks that can’t be completed by our in-house employees:
- This will include walking them through the project and getting a written NTE quote. They will verify that this is the best practice on getting the task completed with a reasonable cost.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Actively participates and supports safety programs.
- Initially screen job requests for completeness, accuracy, and necessity. Perform regular analysis of backlog work relative to available resources.
- Develop detailed job plans identifying safety and environmental issues, labor hours, crafts skills, crew size, operations, task sequence, materials, special tools, and equipment access requirements. Determines required skill sets for each task (craft and skill level). Determines the best method for job performance (the best way to do it).
- Complete analysis of job requirements to determine the best way to accomplish the work. Analysis can include conferring with requestors, clarifying requests and refining descriptions, visualizing job execution, and outlining requirements.
- Coordinate job scheduling and coordination with Production through structured meetings designed to reach accord regarding most important jobs to be scheduled during the approaching schedule week.
- Responsible for maintaining accurate records of mechanical maintenance within Maximo.
- Communicates daily with the leads, supervisors, and department mgt. on status of mechanical maintenance work.
- Audits daily planned maintenance performed by all maintenance employees to ensure the work performed meets standards of quality and quantity.
- Support and comply with all food safety, quality, and legality requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Good communication, writing, and speaking skills for coordination, training, reporting, and analysis.
- Must have experience with work management including job planning, preparation, and scheduling.
- Proficient in the use of Computer software tools including but not limited to Microsoft Office and Maximo.
- Must have detailed understanding of Food Manufacturing Plant Operation and Maintenance.
- Willingness to participate in opportunities designed to further develop technical and leadership capabilities.
- Able to understand and comply with plant GMP and personnel practice requirements.
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Associates Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation or Process related fields preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum experience of 5 years in a Manufacturing environment.
- 1-3 years of prior planning and scheduling experience is preferred.
- Predictive, Preventive, and Reliability Centered Maintenance knowledge.
- Knowledge of or training in OSHA standards is helpful.
