As OT becomes more networked and connected to IT systems, attackers can more easily access control systems operating critical infrastructure, disrupting energy supply in a power grid, shutting down wind farms, or disabling safety systems in pipelines, refineries or oil and gas platforms.

Our Opportunity:
As a passionate cybersecurity professional with expertise in the renewable energy value chain (wind, solar, BESS), you will be involved in technical delivery of high value assessments on behalf of DNV’s clients. This is a highly challenging and often demanding role, requiring a strong technical leader able to work at formidable pace to drive projects forward in complex stakeholder environment, whilst managing multiple competing technical workstreams.
You will be responsible for technical delivery and project management, utilising your expertise in cyber safety and operational technology to provide technical and market advice to clients. In this exciting and varied role, you’ll also be involved in business development activities, including sourcing opportunities, identifying key partners, competitive bidding, client and partner relationship management and participation in promotional events.
You will have real accountability and responsibility, so will relish the opportunity to assist in mentoring colleagues who are new to the underlying technologies, as well as using your commercial awareness of decarbonisation, project management and consultancy skills to help our team evolve.
What will you be doing?
- Work in multi-disciplinary teams on major projects, including due diligence work, covering technical and commercial aspects of investments in renewable technology and electrification (transport and energy)
- Establish, build, and maintain collaborative relationships with clients, colleagues, funding bodies and other stakeholders
- Project manage and direct the activities and performance of consultants, professional services suppliers, and contractors
- Lead the preparation and delivery of reports for clients globally
- Manage budgets and ensure that financial administration, monitoring and reporting is of the highest standard

Qualifications
- You will have a track record in building and maintaining strong stakeholder and partnership relationships to foster a one team mindset in delivery
- An excellent working knowledge of security compliance, policy management, security frameworks (NIST, ISO, SOX) and regulations. Analytical thinking and experience in troubleshooting of problems. Comprehensive knowledge of cyber safety in operational technology, and in-depth understanding of NIS regulations, IEC 62443 series of standards, and other standards in cyber safety engineering
- Demonstrable technical expertise in renewables industry (wind/solar/BESS)
- Highly proficient technical reporting and analytical ability covering a wide variety of the renewable energy systems technology, developed and emerging markets, review of novel technologies, etc
- The experience may include direct experience of infrastructure deployment
- Identifying and nurturing customer relationships, discovering needs, and quantifying how DNV can add value
- Monitoring market developments and shaping company business development activities to take advantage of emerging opportunities
- Leading and assisting with the preparation of proposals in response to formal invitations to tender received from a wide range of clients, including corporates, trade associations, local authorities, European Commission and UK government departments
