For our department Technologies and Partnerships being part of Sustainability Office , we are looking for a Senior Manager Carbon Capture Utilization & Storage (f/m/d).
The position is based in Heidelberg and the role will report to the position Global CCUS Director (department Technologies & Partnerships) .

YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE
You will lead and be accountable for the early / conceptual phases of selected CCS projects with a strong focus on the transport & storage interface with internal and external project partners, in order to make a strong contribution to the company’s global CCUS project portfolio:
CCUS project development: focus on partnerships, business case, and execution support
Collaborate with and guide CCS project teams to develop CO2 storage opportunities in a structured way; take full ownership of CO2 transport and storage from a Group perspective
Identify and validate the potential of partner companies in CO2 storage development and implementation
Optimize transport and storage value-chains considering the dynamics of emitters, grid-operators, and storage opportunities; focus on cost-effective (pipeline) network development and synchronized CO2 specifications
Lead the technical part of the commercial journey from early partnership agreements (such as MoU and heads of terms) towards final CO2 offtake contracts having a value of multiple hundreds of million Euro
YOUR PROFILE
University degree in any of the geo-science studies covering subsurface know-how for hydrocarbon and/or CO2 sequestration exploration or having built this competence during working life
10+ years of business experience in highly responsible roles for exploration and/or exploitation with a multi-million Euro turnover value
At least 5 years of experience in complex project development and/or execution involving multiple investment partners and a wide set of stakeholders
Preferably, several years of experience in subsurface work, showing a clear track record of significant maturation steps of complex projects, with focus to make business cases work
Comfortable for dialogue and reporting on a C-level inside multinational company
Fluent in English language
