accounts for less than 1% of the country’s total power production.
Amidst the intensifying effects of climate change, states like
California and Nevada have pledged to get 100% of their power from
renewable energy by 2045 and 2050 respectively. Baseload Power U.S. aims to play an important part in meeting these goals.
We are seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join our team as a Geothermal Powerplant Operator. As an operator, you will be responsible for monitoring the daily operations of our geothermal powerplant, ensuring it runs smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and inspect the geothermal powerplant during your daily walkthrough, to ensure all systems are functioning properly.
- Perform routine equipment checks and maintenance tasks as required.
- Troubleshoot minor issues and report more complex concerns to senior operators or maintenance staff.
- Assist in maintaining safety protocols and adhere to environmental regulations.
- Be on-call to respond to any operational emergencies or equipment malfunctions.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of daily operations, performance, and maintenance.
Qualifications:
- Based in Susanville or the surrounding area.
- No
prior experience from geothermal industry is required; full training
will be provided. But an experience from a role operating machinery or
similar, is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions in real-time.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Availability to be on-call and respond to plant issues as needed.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a team.
- A commitment to safety and environmental sustainability.
- Able to handle manual labor tasks.
