Job Description
Our client, a leader in the Solar PV industry, is
seeking an experienced Projects Development Expert with a strong
background in investment and project delivery. This role, open to
locations across Africa, will oversee the entire project lifecycle, from
feasibility through to project closeout and handover.
Basic Duties:
- Lead the development of
Solar PV projects from concept to completion, ensuring on-time delivery
and within budget.
- Conduct project
feasibility studies, including technical, financial, and regulatory
assessments.
- Oversee investment
analysis, financial modeling, and securing funding for projects.
- Manage stakeholder
relationships, including investors, contractors, regulatory bodies, and
local communities.
- Coordinate project
planning, procurement, and execution phases, ensuring compliance with
industry standards.
- Monitor project
progress, risks, and deliverables, ensuring milestones are met.
- Lead project closeout
activities, including testing, commissioning, and handover to operations
teams.
- Ensure compliance with
environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles throughout the
project lifecycle.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering,
Renewable Energy, Project Management, or Finance (Master’s degree is a
plus).
- Minimum of 8-10 years experience in Solar PV project development, with a proven track record of
delivering projects across Africa.
- Strong knowledge of
investment analysis, financial structuring, and project financing for
renewable energy projects.
- Experience managing the
full project lifecycle, from feasibility studies to project handover.
- Solid understanding of
regulatory frameworks and permitting processes in African markets.
- Proficiency in project
management tools and software.
- Exceptional leadership,
analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness to travel
extensively across Africa as required.
