JOB SUMMARY: This position is a Fish and Wildlife Administrator, GS- 0480-14 working in Yuma, Arizona for the R2-Southwest Arizona Refuges Complex. MAJOR DUTIES: As a Fish and Wildlife Administrator your duties will include but are not limited to the following: Oversee and administer refuge lands, facilities, and refuge programs and budgets per applicable laws, policies, plans, and NEPA requirements, including refuge interest in land acquisition (including fee title, conservation easements, leases, land exchanges, cooperative agreements, etc.). Represents FWS as a refuge management expert with elected and appointed Federal, state and local government officials and employees, the media, local and national level environmental and conservation groups, member of academia, Tribal representatives, corporate partners, and the general public on issues affecting natural resource management in the Refuge Complex. Performs a full range of supervisory/managerial duties and responsibilities over the assigned staff and organizational elements. Promotes and demonstrates a strong commitment to workforce diversity. Identifies program training/mandatory needs and expectations and identifies work priorities for employees, volunteers, contractors and partners.
