JOB SUMMARY: These positions are located in Great Smoky Mountains National Park, in the Resource Management and Science Division. The typical seasonal entry-on-duty period for Great Smoky Mountains National Park is May - November but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Anticipated Entry on Duty: May 4, 2025. MAJOR DUTIES: Major Duties: Serve as a fisheries team member to accomplish posted fisheries management activities following standardized protocols in a safe and accurate manner. Assists with the operation, maintenance, and repair of field equipment, submits maintenance and repair schedules, and provides detailed supply/equipment needs list to supervisor in a timely manner. Demonstrate proper collection, recording and handling of fisheries field data and assist with data entry and editing. Maintains good oral communication with supervisor, fellow crew members, and the public regarding field activities. Demonstrate a strong commitment to employee safety by encouraging safety and operational leadership in all fisheries operations.
