The Opportunity The Calgary-based Carbon Sequestration Specialist will provide critical support to the Carbon business with a primary focus on supporting the development of Wolf’s saline aquifer sequestration business. The role will also provide broader support for the remainder of the Wolf Carbon business. The successful candidate will join a team of professionals growing the carbon infrastructure business through projects that leverage off the existing ACTL infrastructure and commercial and technical knowledge in Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage. Key Responsibilities Reporting to the Director, Business Development, Carbon and working closely with multiple stakeholders around the organization to mature the Wolf sequestration business, the key responsibilities will include: Develop, coordinate, and oversee subsurface exploration activities Lead exploration and development planning Develop and maintain project economics and budgeting Compile project update reports and regulatory submissions Work closely with technical consultants, project partners, government and regulatory bodies in project development and operation Provide input and support for customer activities and business growth opportunities Create presentation materials for internal and external audiences Qualifications and Experience Skills: Oil and Gas exploitation and development engineering and planning including subsurface evaluation. Project economic evaluation Excellent writing, presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills to interact with stakeholders Ability to summarize and present complex ideas in easy-to-understand ways Creativity and problem solving to develop and execute solutions in a developing industry Results oriented, with ability to work with minimal supervision Excellent time management skills and attention to detail Openness to play many roles on a small, execution focused team where there will be little ability to rely upon others to complete the work Experience: 7-10 years of multi-disciplinary upstream oil and gas experience including program planning and economic evaluation Exposure to facilities and pipeline engineering including design, construction, and operations, and drilling operations including well planning and execution Experience working with a development team, including reservoir, geology, geophysics and operations team members Experience with oil sands development or secondary / tertiary recovery schemes is an asset Must be a self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and an ability to work in a fast-paced fluid work environment Education: Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering or related field and Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Alberta Rewards Competitive compensation and bonus program Comprehensive benefits and wellness support including parental leave top-up Employer matched savings plan Hybrid remote work model opportunities Time away programs including vacation and flex time Interested candidates should apply at www.wolfmidstream.com by May 26, 2023.
