About Us
Winpak dodges a bad wrap; it manufactures plastic and aluminum foil packaging materials for use in the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries. The company, largely owned by Finnish manufacturer Wihuri Oy, produces modified atmospheric (vacuum) packaging, which removes air to extend the shelf life of perishable foods, like meat. Products include sealed and zippered pouches and shrink bags, as well as machines to form, fill, and seal them. Winpak also makes specialty monolayer and nylon films, and rigid plastic packaging (containers/lids). It offers printing and laminating services, too. Winpak operates multiple extrusion and converting plants in North America; the US accounts for more than 75% of sales.
