Responsible for providing client relationship management and investment banking services including strategic advisory services to corporate and private equity clients related to buyside and sellside M&A, debt and equity capital raising, designated by industry/sector. Industry coverage includes industrials, financial sponsors, consumer and retail, healthcare, financial institutions, energy, and technology, media and telecom. Senior investment banking professionals are expected, over time, to generate a balanced mix of M&A, debt and equity capital raising of $7 million to $30 million subject to the attributes of their sector coverage. In addition, senior investment banking professionals are expected to "sell the bank" by appropriately positioning the banks treasury and payment solutions product suite as well as floating rate and F/X, private wealth, insurance and other services. Senior investment banking professionals are also expected to serve the bank's corporate banking and commercial clients with strategic advisory and the aforementioned traditional investment banking services in partnership with the primary Commercial and Corporate Banking coverage professionals.

General job description: Member of a collaborative team responsible for assisting power, renewables, and utility clients with the execution of M&A advisory, debt and equity capital raises, corporate lending and project finance. Will be required to compile presentations and internal credit memos as well as assist with all facets of transaction execution. The team has several active sellside M&A mandates, with visibility into additional M&A and financing transactions near-term.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Work closely with senior professionals across Power & Renewable coverage, M&A, Project Finance, Leveraged Finance, Equity Capital Markets, and Debt Capital Markets

2. Perform assigned duties with some independence, including but not limited to due diligence, research, and preparation of presentation materials

3. Serve as a member of M&A and capital raising transaction teams, providing credit underwriting support, drafting information memoranda, developing management and investor presentations

Required Qualifications:

1. 1+ year of work experience related to corporate finance

2. BA/BS degree

3. Proven analytical ability and attention to detail

4. Solid leadership and interpersonal skills

5. Proven ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

6. Strong written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

1. 1 year of related work experience since graduation from an undergraduate program

The annual base salary for this position in New York is $100,000
