Talent2Africa is seeking for its partner, an independent global development consulting firm dedicated to promoting evidence-based solutions to address development challenges in Africa, a Project Manager: Sustainable Development Finance and Capital Markets based in Senegal.

The company is hiring a Project Manager to lead projects in the areas of sustainable development finance and capital markets. The ideal candidate will have experience managing cross-sectoral projects and engaging with a range of stakeholders. The Project Manager will be responsible for driving project preparation and implementation, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, and fostering partnerships with external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, implement and monitor projects and programs, including with a focus on sustainable development finance and capital markets.
Help define project scope, goals and deliverables.
Engage with stakeholders, including the private sector, government, and community groups, to foster collaboration and achieve project goals.
Coordinate activities encompassing advisory, research, advocacy and capacity building in close collaboration with other departments
Coordinate the preparation of project documents, including concept notes, progress and final reports,
Formulate project schedule and timeline and monitor implementation to ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and performance indicators.
Managing grant applications and requests for proposals.
Help build and manage project team.
Coordinate the allocation of project resources
Lead quality assurance
Present to management and stakeholders reports on progress as well as problems and solutions
Implement and manage changes when necessary to meet project deliverables
Evaluate and assess project results, outcomes and impact

Qualifications

Profile

Master’s degree in project management, business administration, finance, sustainable development, or related field.
Proven experience in managing projects, particularly in sustainable development finance, corporate finance or energy transition.
Strong knowledge of capital markets desirable
Strong research, advocacy, and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
Project planning, risk management, time management and other project management skills.
Fluency in French and English.
