Sunhero is a residential solar energy company on a mission to make access to clean, PV solar energy easy and affordable. We leverage technology and innovation to accelerate the transition to clean energy.

Sunhero was founded in 2021 by Christopher Cederskog and Stefan Braun. Two entrepreneurs with over 25 years of experience launching companies in the international markets, including Airbnb, Rover, and Course Hero. Sunhero is Berlin-founded and Barcelona-headquartered.

We raised our series A investment round of 10M€ in March 2023. This round was led by climate tech VC Planet A and Vorwerk Ventures, as well as Redstone, All Iron Ventures, and Speedinvest.

What we want to achieve together?

We are looking for a Solar PV Design Intern to join our Operations department. You’ll be a key member of the design team which is responsible for planning our client’s custom solutions as well as being one of the key sources of PV knowledge within the company.

This role is available for min. 6 months internships or as part-time job for current students.

- You will focus on designing PV system solutions for our customers.

- You will design individual PV solutions for our customers that address their individual needs.

- Sometimes you will be involved in continuous improvement projects to make the Ops team more efficient.

- You will research technical aspects of new equipment and products to make sure that we are up-to-date with the latest technologies.

- Together with the team, you will help clear any technical doubts from the other departments.

- Stay update-to-date on the newest trends in the solar market.

What you need to be successful in this role?

- A strong motivation to have a positive impact on the planet and to change the way people think about energy production.

- No fear of getting into a variety of tasks and finding solutions independently. We are not into micromanagement.

- Some experience in the energy sector is nice to have.

- PV sizing experience, (ideally).

- Strong desire to own projects and be held accountable for their success.

- A native Spanish speaker and fluent in English; other European languages is a plus
