Description

A Software Engineer Intern learns the practical application of engineering principals, achieves expertise in a specific functional area, and investigates new techniques as part of a team. The Software Engineer Intern is typically an individual who desires to grow their skills and competencies by working on a product/subsystem release. The Software Engineer Intern learns through practical functional experience and from more experienced engineers/mentors.

Primary Responsibilities

Responsible for planning, processing and performing all projects in an efficient manner with assistance from the supervisor.
Develop code to achieve defined design goals.
Write test appliances to fully test production code.
Apply engineering processes to everyday activities.
Participate in design and code reviews to gain knowledge of applications and development processes.
Exposure to the business planning process and terminology.
Comply with Solarity’s policies, procedures and guidelines.
May be required to perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree that aligns with Software Engineering.
Hands-on knowledge of and experience with enterprise and desktop applications, including all Microsoft products.
Proven experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolution techniques.
Basic knowledge of software design patterns and architecture.
Strong attention to detail, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively.
Ability to learn and apply new ideas and concepts quickly.
Ability to organize time and projects efficiently.
