In this full-time, maximum term (2 year) contract role, you’ll work remotely from home as a part of our Climate Change Division, to help us create lasting change for children everywhere. The Climate Resilient Construction Advisor plays an important role in delivering on our vision of a better world for children. You will advanced technicalexpertiseto large-scale, complex climate investments, influencing project design, quality, compliance and impactacross diverse contexts, contributing to our commitment to children in Australia, the Pacific and around the world.

You will make a difference by:

·Providing technical leadership & coordination for construction components of our climate change portfolio

·Overseeing and supporting monitoring of construction activities and portfolios, ensuring programme quality, delivery performance and value for money

·Developing, maintaining and promoting the uptake of construction technical standards, quality frameworks, guidance, tools and resources

·Design and deliver capacity building & professional development for construction focal points

·Lead risk Management, Compliance & Incident Management for construction programmes

This role requires:

·Construction Technical Expertise: Strong technical proficiency in construction methodologies, design principles, project management and supervision, including sustainable and climate‑responsive construction.

·Risk, Quality & Performance Management: Strong capability to identify and manage delivery risks, apply quality, safety and regulatory standards, and use monitoring and performance data to drive adaptive management, problem‑solving and continuous improvement.

·Coordination, Collaboration & Inclusion: Proven ability to work effectively across multi-cultural teams, sectors and geographies, with commitment to equity, inclusion and respectful engagement with staff, partners and communities.

·Capacity Building & Mentoring: Skills in mentoring, coaching and capacity strengthening of national and international staff to improve construction quality and delivery.
