Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Lead
Location - West Palm Beach, FL
On-site 5 days per week - from start date

Position Summary
Seeking a hands-on Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Lead to support safety and environmental compliance in a precision manufacturing environment. This role works directly on the production floor to ensure compliance with OSHA, HAZWOPER, RCRA, and DOT regulations while promoting a proactive, employee-focused safety culture.
The ideal candidate is comfortable in a manufacturing setting involving machining, metal finishing, assembly operations, hazardous materials, and regulated waste streams.

Key Responsibilities

Implement and maintain EHS programs in compliance with OSHA, HAZWOPER, RCRA, and DOT regulations
Conduct routine safety inspections, job hazard analyses (JHAs), and risk assessments
Investigate incidents, near misses, and injuries; prepare reports and recommend corrective actions
Serve as a point of contact for regulatory inspections and audits
Coordinate and deliver safety training (new hire, annual refreshers, task-specific training)
Ensure employee certifications and training records are current and properly documented
Promote safety awareness through toolbox talks, signage, and safety meetings
Manage hazardous waste handling, storage, labeling, and disposal in compliance with RCRA
Coordinate hazardous materials transportation per DOT requirements
Assist with environmental reporting, permits, and waste minimization initiatives
Support emergency response planning, drills, and spill response activities
Act as a member of the emergency response team as required
Ensure availability and readiness of safety equipment and PPE
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to safety and environmental performance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and reduce EHS risks

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
Current certifications in:
OSHA 30
HAZWOPER
RCRA
DOT Hazardous Materials
3+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Working knowledge of federal and state EHS regulations
Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
Ability to conduct training and influence safe behaviors across all levels of the organization
Accept a drug test
