Overall Purpose

Manpower is seeking to recruit a Health, Safety, and Environmental Support Specialist to join our client team to support the company by ensuring compliance with Occupational Health and Safety legislation and maintaining high standards in health, safety, and environmental practices.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Monitor employees to ensure adherence to safe work practices.
Issue work permits as required.
Oversee contractors to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and local environmental legislation.
Support the company in environmental management systems and assist with ISO 14001 audits.
Manage waste management data systems, recording and reporting on all waste streams.
Assist in the upkeep and inspection of health and safety equipment (firefighting systems, extinguishers, hydrants, alarms, pumps).
Support the management of health, safety, and environmental projects.
Track training expiry dates and coordinate training sessions.
Assist with EHSS maintenance call-outs and other support tasks as needed.
Perform general administrative support and additional duties as assigned.
Ensure high standards of work and service quality throughout.

Job Requirements

Strong administrative skills.
Proficiency in Excel.
Professional, discreet demeanour with strong communication skills.
Flexibility to work under pressure and manage projects effectively.
Detail-oriented and eager to advance in HSSE.
Prior experience with ISO 14001 or knowledge of Health and Safety is an asset.
