We have built connections with key opinion leaders who are already using the Globe System and are helping to tell our story. We have now completed our pivotal clinical study and our focus is on regulatory approvals and commercial launch. This is an exciting and significant milestone in our journey to bring this ground-breaking technology to patients. As a n Environmental Health and Safety Coor di nator, you will play a significant role in the development and implementation of a n Environmental Health & Safety program, with the goal of providing a safe working environment for all employees . Please note, this opportunity is a hybrid work arrangement, located in Burnaby, BC. Meaningful work you will be a part of You r r e sponsibilities will include : Support the i mplementation and maintenance of all EHS policies and programs to align with corporate goals and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Conduct EHS program audits, facility inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards in new and existing equipment and processes. Observ e and engag e in Joint Health and Safety Committee meetings and initiatives. Aid in co mpleting occupational hygiene exposure assessments. Aid in the development and delivery of safety training, including new hire orientation, inspection and proper use and care of PPE /RPE, safety device operation, etc. C onduct field - and office-based ergonomic assessments. Participat e in incident investigations and root cause analyses. Support manufacturing, training, and engineering department stakeholders by respon ding to EHS-related enquiries. O rg anize the repair, maintenance , calibration and replenishment of EHS equipment and supplies. Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure timely completion and reporting of EH&S projects. You will be successful in this role because you possess these attributes: Diploma or Degree in O ccupational H ealth and S afety or Occupational Hygiene or Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science-related program with an aptitude for Occupational Health and Safety. 1-3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Experience in a n ISO 13485 or AS9100 regulated manufacturing facility preferred. Desire to work as part of a team, helping to drive E HS mindset and improvement initiatives. Good working knowledge of OHS regulations and other applicable standards (i.e. CSA, ANSI, NIOSH). Project management experience an asset. Exceptional collaboration skills , with the ability to grow relationships and influence stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communication , and technical documentation skills. Ability to prioritize, multitask and lead multiple projects simultaneously. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite ( Word, Excel, Power P oint , Outlook) required , with experience using Smartsheet an asset. Flexible and willing to take on additional responsibilities as required. Compensation Kardium has listed the total cash compensation range (base salary + 5% RRSP contribution) that we expect to pay applicants for this role, as of the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example , education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs. For candidates with more or less experience than listed above, the pay range will be adjusted. As a permanent employee, you will also participate in Kardium’s stock option plan. 6 0 ,000 – 8 0 ,000 CAD Annually Your Benefits & Well-being The total cash we’ve listed for this position includes a base salary, plus a contribution to a Registered Retirement Savings plans (RRSP) to help support your financial goals.
