Data QA

Job brief

We are looking for a Data QA with experience in testing high-performing, scalable, enterprise-grade applications. You will be part of a talented software team that works on mission-critical applications. You will be responsible for testing Hadoop Ecosystem solutions while providing expertise in the full software development lifecycle.

Roles and responsibilities

Creation of test designs, test processes, test cases and test data.
Carry out testing as per the defined procedures.
Participate in walkthroughs of testing procedures.
Prepare all reports related to software testing carried out.
Ensure that all tested related work is carried out as per the defined standards and procedures.
Generate traceability matrices all the way from user stories or business requirements to automated testcases.

Technical Skills:

Must have 5+ Years of experience in application testing and testing methodologies with primary focus in Automation testing.
Prepare test cases & scenarios for all modules. - This involves brainstorming and understanding requirements
Proficiency in SQL and Data Testing.
Work Experience in Hadoop Distribution – CDP, HIVE, PYSPARK, IMPALA, SQOOP
Work experience in executing Python and Shell Scripting.
Executing Test cases – Validations of test cases, manually comparing the results on both environments and identify potentials defects.
Perform testing on data ingestion pipelines for variety of data sources: batch
Perform testing on Datawarehouse loads and Reports generated out of the Datawarehouse data.
Provide testing artifacts and signoff.
Understanding of the Testing/QA concepts i.e. test cases, defects, requirement traceability matrix.
Good knowledge of Hadoop and Statistics.

Good knowledge in Backend Databases (Oracle, SQL)

Define, develop, maintain, report and execute manual / automation tests for basic, regression, load & performance related.
Familiarity with - JMeter, Selenium, Selenium Web driver, JIRA
Ability to design and develop test automation frameworks
Experience working in an Agile environment, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional testing skills. Provide good attention to details.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
