Duties:

Install and check PV modules, panels, and string connections.
Inspect module alignment, cable routing, and identify physical or electrical defects.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot string/central/hybrid inverters.
Check inverter DC input, AC output, earthing, and communication lines.
Perform DC/AC testing: Voc, Isc, IV curve, insulation resistance, polarity, continuity.
Maintain and troubleshoot ACDB, DCDB, MDB, SMDB, breakers, fuses & surge protection.
Monitor power system performance (voltage, current, power factor, harmonics, energy output).
Diagnose ground faults, DC overvoltage, insulation failures, and synchronization issues.
Ensure proper integration of solar with grid, generator, and battery systems.
Conduct preventive maintenance and prepare technical reports.
Use electrical tools: multimeter, clamp meter, insulation tester, thermal camera.
Follow electrical safety protocols, LOTO procedures, relevant electrical standards (e.g. IEC/NEC).

Additional Responsibilities (Solar Panel Cleaning & Team Supervision) :

· Responsible for cleaning solar panels to maintain optimal efficiency.
· Supervise cleaning team to ensure panels are cleaned safely and regularly.
· Assign panel cleaning tasks and monitor team performance.
· Ensure proper cleaning methods, safety precautions, and handling of cleaning tools.
· Document cleaning schedules and report any issues affecting panel performance.

Competencies:

Strong electrical troubleshooting ability.
Good understanding of PV power systems, electrical protection, and power distribution.
Ability to read single-line diagrams (SLDs) and wiring diagrams.
Solid reporting and documentation skills.
Basic team coordination and communication capability

Education: Diploma / ITI in Electrical or a related field

Experience: 2–5 years of experience in solar PV electrical installation/maintenance (preferred)

Communication: Effective communication skills English. Teamwork for an efficient performance.
