Quality and Environmental Manager

General Summary:

March Coatings Ventures is proud to be one of the leading coating facilities in the United States for application of paint coatings onto metal substrates for the automotive industry. Our 72,000 square foot facility in Brighton, MI is the perfect opportunity for a dynamic and motivated manager to oversee quality assurance and control processes, ensuring that products and services meet established standards and regulatory requirements.

Our growing business requires a team-oriented individual who can drive Quality initiatives, along with adhering to local environmental policies. E-coat/paint experience is a plus, but not necessary. Looking for someone with a hands-on approach.

Principal Duties:

Maintain Quality records, statistical reviews, and relevant documentation, ensuring all Quality related information is accurate and up to date
Oversee inspections, testing, and audits to identify defects and implement preventative measures to minimize future issues.
Conducting internal Quality audits and planning for external audits
Participating in customer service and ensuring our plant maintains consistent, high-quality scorecards
Responding to customer concerns related to product Quality and conducting root cause analysis (8D)
Be the leader of Quality within the company. Continuously promoting quality and customer satisfaction in everything that the company does.
Maintain existing Quality & Environmental management strategies, policies and procedures.
Ensure Quality and Environmental Management systems are fully compliant with customer, regulatory, legislative and business requirements.
Ensure that customer requirements are understood
Ensure supplier Quality is effectively managed.
Ensure that problems are solved using systematic problem-solving methodologies.
Ensure that continuous improvements to product quality and to the quality and environmental management systems are planned and implemented.
Prepare for and manage customer and regulatory audits (Quality ISO-9001 & Environmental inspection).

Knowledge/Experience:

Proven track record in leading the quality and environmental function automotive manufacturing environment.
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
Thorough knowledge of quality and environmental management systems and associated regulatory requirements (ISO -9001 etc.).
Demonstrated ability to manage and execute tasks in an efficient manner.
Must be able to communicate at all levels of the organization and with customers, suppliers and regulatory agencies.
Good interpersonal skills, team player, with a positive attitude in dealing with people.
Excellent analytical skills. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusion
