Your tasks will include

Designing eAgronom’s carbon program in Africa
Identifying, evaluating, and choosing the best certification option to ensure a clear market for the credits (eg. Verra, Gold Standard, PlanVivo, Social carbon)
Project manage interactions with third parties and across the company to ensure success on achieving project certification
Write or overview the PDD (Project Design Document) writing
Communicating with certification partners and potential credit buyers
Oversee and support data and knowledge sharing to ensure that they are up to date and available to all stakeholders
Bringing internal clarity to ensure high integrity of eAgronom carbon credits in Africa

Must-haves

Have experience with certifying a project under a standard (eg. Verra, Gold Standard or equivalent)
Have been working with farm-related carbon projects in Africa
A self-directed person with a high sense of responsibility, able to work efficiently in a remote-first environment
Detail-oriented, while avoiding perfection: climate-change cannot wait
Ability to communicate clearly, both externally and internally in the organisation

Nice-to-haves

Have experience with Verra methodology VM0042
Experience in soil-related carbon projects in Africa
Experience with East African countries (preferably Kenya, Rwanda or Tanzania)
