We are hiring for a Global Supply chain Decarbonisation Director to join our growing sustainability team with a particular focus on Scope 3 decarbonisation across our global business.

Purpose of the Role

Sustainability and ESG are one of four key pillars in our mid-term strategy with strong sponsorship at CEO and board level. As Global Supply Chain Decarbonisation Director, you’ll report to the Global Head of Environmental Delivery and work in close collaboration with our global Social Impact team in London and Tokyo as well as our global procurement team to develop strategy and drive impact at scale.

You’ll develop corporate GHG inventories with a primary focus on Scope 3. Identifying strategic decarbonisation opportunities in Dentsu’s supply chain and wider value chain and integrate these into strategic roadmaps for climate action and setting targets that align to global best practice and provide internal reinforcement through executive level KPIs.

Key Responsibilities

Lead working groups, stakeholder engagements and forums as a subject matter expert on environment to drive action across 145 markets
Act as subject matter expert and thought leader on Net Zero transformation, speaking at internal forums to inspire action in support of Dentsu’s climate goals
Collaborate with the ESG reporting team to monitor and report progress against carbon reduction targets. Provide expert input and guidance in to ESG rating agencies, reporting, stakeholder communication and investor engagement
Refresh, refine and create internal policies, protocols and guidance documents related to best-in-class environmental performance
Contribute to documents as part of the governance process including board updates.

Qualifications + Skills

5+ years experience in a related role with proven track record of delivery
Experience in decarbonisation strategies and implementation road-maps, particularly within supply chains with a deep understanding of carbon and environment methodologies including the GHG protocol, Scope 3 mapping, reporting and science-based targets
Understanding of procurement systems, process and supply chain relationship management and familiarity with TCFDs, GRI, SASB and other reporting standards
Proficient in MS Office with excellent Excel skills including the ability to build and work with models and tools
Excellent communication skills, and ability to convey information clearly, accurately and succinctly (both written and verbal) and to craft succinct, high-impact presentations with strong attention to detail
A Bachelors and/or Masters Degree in an Environmental or related discipline will be an advantage
